Culver lived as a wild animal on a farm with many other dogs until H.A.R.T. stepped up to take her and several others. The only time these dogs had human interactions was when a person came to leave food in the barn. Culver came to HART pregnant and terrified. With her foster family's patience and love, she is coming out of her shell. She eats from their hands, and enjoys being picked up by some of the family members. Culver was such an excellent mother she even adopted two other puppies 3 days after having her own puppy, from another mama dog who didn't understand how to care for her puppies. Culver is slowly getting used to people and letting us hold and pet her. Believe it or not but she is most comfortable when she is on the couch being touched. She sometimes will even climb into your lap and paw at you when you stop petting her tummy. Culver will need a calm home with few people preferably one without young children that can scare her easily. She is also very scared of cats for some reason but is starting to just ignore them now. She is also paper trained. Culver is a really good dog but just needs someone who will be willing to take extra time for her to get to know you and love you. Whoever will adopt her and gives her time, won't regret it. Could you be Culver's family?
